Seed Grants

These funds are to be utilized by Mercer faculty to develop research projects that will lead to the submission of viable grant applications to external funding agencies or foundations. Funding up to $4000 can be requested. These funds will be available beginning approximately August 1, 2026, and must be expended by June 30, 2027.

All seed grants must be submitted using the application, which has been updated for AY26-27 and does not distinguish between STEM or humanities disciplines.

If faculty have received seed grant funding in the past and have not submitted the required progress report, a new application will not be considered for review.

The deadline for submission is June 30, 2026, at 5:00 PM.
