Pre-Award

The Pre-award function of the Office of Research and Sponsored Programs is responsible for providing grant services to Mercer faculty and staff from project inception through submission to the sponsor.

Services provided by a Pre-award specialist include: assisting with funding opportunity searches, assisting with budget preparation and review, and overseeing proposal routing for administrative review and submission.

Principal investigators interested in submitting applications for external funding are encouraged to reach out to Patrick Ingram, Pre-award Specialist, as early as possible. Providing the specific funding guidelines from a sponsor is critical to ensuring an accurate and timely submission.
